In the morning we travelled south again. The weather did not let us down this time, it was sunny with a few clouds and not too hot. Our first stop was a village of Russian Molokans who met the curious strangers with relaxed friendliness.

For lunch we stopped at the "Getap" restaurant near Dilijan. This did not consist of one large room, but of several small closed and half-open houses assembled around a little river. During our trip we saw several such restaurants, usually at rivers.

In Dilijan we visited "Old Dilijan Complex" which is also run by the Tufenkian Heritage. It contains a museum, a restaurant, several little shops, etc. and is certainly worth a visit - but don't forget to take enough money with you to buy some of the beautiful items they offer there :)

Later we arrived at Lake Sevan and visited the Sevan Monastery.

Below are the "ruins" of Soviet architecture - as ugly as ever!
For dinner we had whitefish from Lake Sevan - apart from the trout one of the famous types of fish in the lake. Our hotel Harsnaqar in Sevan looked very nice: an entire complex with hotel, bungalows, a leisure resort (which was not yet open at that time of year) and lovely furnitured spacy rooms - it seemed ideal for a summer holiday! However, the service in the hotel was still a very "socialist" one (those who have ever been visiting a country of the former Eastern block before 1989 know what that is like).

Of course the furniture is a matter of taste ;) ...

... while Hermann found it ... well, a little extravagant :)
